What we collect, and what we do with it

Postaboo is run by Deliberate Pty Ltd (ABN 95 665 617 336), an Australian company. This page describes what the site actually does with your information, in plain English. Questions, or want something removed? Email hello@e.postaboo.com.

What we store

• Your email address, and the dates you first and last used the site.
• Your LinkedIn username, read from the addresses of your posts in the export. It identifies your account here, so that each new export adds to your history and a second person cannot claim your profile.
• Figures from your LinkedIn export: daily impressions, engagements and new followers; your follower total; the percentage breakdown of your audience by job title, seniority, industry, location, company and company size; and for each of your top posts, its public LinkedIn address, publish date, impressions and engagements.
• Figures from the overview page you paste: post impressions, followers, profile viewers, search appearances, and how many posts and comments you made that week. One set is kept per week to build your history. The rest of the pasted text is discarded.
• Anything you choose to add to sharpen your report: your headline, what you want to be known for, and the text of your posts.
• Your timezone, as reported by your browser, so post times display correctly.
• The written commentary produced for your report.

Each export you add is merged into what we already hold, so your history can run longer than the 365 days LinkedIn offers. We also keep a dated record of your audience breakdown and each post's figures from every export, so the report can show how they change over time. We do not store the uploaded file itself, your name, your connections or your messages. The export does not contain those last two in any case.

What we use it for

• To build your report and keep its link working.
• To show your week-by-week history.
• To email you your report link, sign-in links when you ask for one, and occasional updates about Postaboo.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of outside services. Each receives only what it needs.

• Anthropic (Claude) writes the summary, post titles, topics and weekly plan on premium accounts. It is sent your calculated figures, the words from your post addresses, and anything you chose to add. It is not sent your email address or the links to your posts.
• Resend delivers our emails, so it receives your email address and the content of each email.
• Google Analytics counts visits and sets cookies in your browser to do so. Report pages are recorded under a generic address, so the private link to your report is not passed to Google.
• Google Fonts and the Tailwind CSS network supply the typeface and styling. Loading them reveals your IP address to those services, as with any website asset.
• Our hosting provider stores the site's data and keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.

Some of these services process information outside Australia, including in the United States.

Who can see your report

Only you. Opening a report needs a sign-in link sent to the email address the profile was created with. The one exception is the browser you upload from, which can view the report until you close it, so you see your first report straight away. Report pages are marked so search engines do not list them.

The people who run Postaboo can view reports when needed to fix problems and improve the service.

Cookies

• One cookie of our own keeps you signed in and protects our forms. It is deleted when you close your browser.
• Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell visits apart.
• Your browser also remembers, for the current visit only, whether you closed the "share" notice.

How long we keep it

Until you delete it. We do not currently remove reports automatically. Sign-in links expire after 30 minutes.

Your choices

• Delete everything: sign in, open My reports, and use "Delete my data". This removes your email, every report and all weekly check-ins straight away.
• Stop update emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or the switch on My reports. Sign-in links are still sent when you ask for one.
• See or correct what we hold: your reports show it. For anything else, email us.

Postaboo is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to LinkedIn. You download your own analytics from LinkedIn and choose to give them to us.
